Default PCI Express slot/video card question

Ok I'm just a little bit frustrated atm but I have a question, Ok I hace a PC Chips A13G+ v3.0 MOBO and the instruction booklet says this about my PCI-E slot (One PCI Express x16 slot (support x1 VGA Interface)), but online it says for the same exact board on their website, (1 x PCI Express Pro slot (runs in x8 mode)), and I went and bought a GeForce 8600GT online a few days ago, someone tell me if this card will even work on my MOBO or if I'm gonna have to send it back or buy another MOBO please. thanks

Default Re: PCI Express slot/video card question

The video card will work with motherboard, but it will only run on x8 mode instead of the x16 mode. Because of this you might notice a slight drop in performance.
