I wanna upgrade my old PC and I wanna get a new video card but my pc is quite old and it has a PCI-express x16 slot and the card I am looking at needs a PCI-express 2.0 will there be any problems if I put a 2.0 card in a x16 slot and will it even work. (sorry for bad english :) )
and I think I have gddr2 is there any problem if the card is gddr3?

No, there won't be any problems. PCI-Express 2.0 cards are backwards compatible to PCI-Express 1.0 slots. You'll be fine.

Most times you will get away fine putting a PCI-E 2.0 card into a PCI-E 1.0 slot, they are cross-compatible for reasons. Sometimes though, you get a card or system that doesn't really like the idea of mixing the different speeds.
