PC video card error?

I am getting this error while playing wow and also a blue screen of death. Any help?

The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp.

The display device driver got stuck in on infinte loop. This usually indicates problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.

also get the latest drivers for your card.

had some major stuttering when going back to older drivers. then went back again to newest drivers and still have stuttering...

i have no idea whats going on now.

yes did this multiple times with different drivers.

duh i should of mentioned this in the beggining. I have a nvidia 8500GT

played the game again in opengl and completely made the game smooth. why was it doing that before?
