Default PC too slow on wen booting

I'm working on a PC with a Main Board (D945gtp). At first i couldn't go into BIOS coz it asked me for password. I removed the jumper & the CMOS battery but stil i cant. If i boot the pc wth boot disc in the rom it boots using the rom, thts how I managed 2 format the pc. I'v also tried flashing the BIOS but pc hangs & I dont get any activity on the HDD. Eventualy i'v managed to reset the password but stil it works intermitently. My problem now is that it takes about 10-15 min for the pc 2 boot up but after booting it works fine. How can I get it to boot nomarly

So you formatted the computer and installed another OS but now it takes about 15 minutes to boot?
