PC not starting

My pc is not starting up. when i put it on the monitor light flickers as i if nothing is being sent to it. The cpu lights in the back are not on, even though the ones in front come on when i press the start button. I am guessing the cpu has crashed. Any help would be appreciated!

So what have you tried?

have you cleared the CMOS?

tried one stick of RAM, tested the power supply?

I have not checked those things. I made sure all wires were connected properly, since my bro did the damage.
