Pc Freezing !!!

every so often my pc decides to freeze, or lockup or whatever, this is always while im playing a game, and it happens in any game, all games do it, once every 5 mins or so, it just locks up, i have up to date video drivers, i tried 2 versions, and latest direct X and all, I cant find the problem.

my system is a
amd X2 3800+
leadtek 7600GT extreme
1GB corsair twinX 1024C2
truepower 480W

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of case do you have? You might be having some heat issues. Does the GPU get enought air flow?

Yeh my Case is an Antec P160W its pretty huge, has plenty of ventilation, and the airflow is great, my GPU runs at 40 Degrees celcius and my cpu runs at 25 degrees celcius, im doubtful that it could be heat

Have you tried taking out one stick of RAM and seeing the problem persists? Also, un-install and re-install your video card drivers, and update them as well.
