PC Freezes when I put cd in DVD/RW drive

I have Windows Vista and I just installed an LG GSA-H42L DVD burner. When I put a cd or DVD in this drive, my PC freezes until I take the CD or DVD out. I've checked the jumper settings and they are correct.
Some people have said that it may be my nForce MOBO...

Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how I can get it to stop?

Yes, even downloaded the updated ones for Vista on their website
