pc doctor error

Hi can anyone help,
my computer has been hanging and doing all sorts of crazy things. I have only one error message and its created when i checked the drives using pc doctor.
the message i get is:

smart short self test
error code ic25n030atmr04-0

Its the test you do of the drives.

How can i fix this problem and do you know what caused it?

By the way my computer is an IBM thinkpad T41 laptop.
The operating system is Windows xp professional with service pack 2
Im running the free AVG
Office 97 i think

Try a different testing program. I wouldn't trust the results of a program that returns the drives part number as an error code.
