PC abruptly switches off at random times

Wait, what? Through the bios? Firmware programs are typically done via Windows.

Sorry not the bios but through a bootable program.

I'm having a bit of trouble installing the firmware through the bootable toolbox. I have made the .iso and pasted it in a fat32 formated usb stick but it won't load. There was a message saying that it couldn't boot the software and I don't really know why. Anyways I tried installing the firmware using the windows installer but it couldn't detect the drive even though I could still browse its contents.

Copy and paste doesn't work in this situation you need to mount the .iso to the USB device

That's what I did.

Yeah sorry I didn't mean to say that.

You have to make the drive bootable before it will load.

I didn't mean to say about the pasting part. The iso was installed on the usb stick through software which then makes the stick bootable.

I used Universal USB Installer 1.9.5.2 and it was recommended by the OCZ support guide.
