Default Overheating problem?

For past month or so now my computer has been shutting down at any given time and when I turn it back on it beeps a few times and a messege will appear telling me that something about thermal (overheating). It may shut down as soon as I turn on for first time in a day or several hours. I've fixed one fan (power box) already and can't figure out any other problems. It's been un-dusted and what have you. Just doing things I know I can do alone.

Used Everest for spec help

Optical Drive: HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4320B (DVD:16x, CD:32x/10x/40x DVD-ROM/CD-RW)

the thermal paste on the CPU might be fired... you might want to put a new coat on... also you might want to look at the mobo and look for any bulging capaciters... one of them might be getting ready to pop and causing this issue.
