Default os problems

so i just install two westen digital 500 gb black drives in a raid 0 and installed windows 7 with sp 1. and at random times when i start up my pc i cant open certain programs but others will open fine im at a loss here on what the prob is. anyone got any ideas what i could be

Did you try reinstalling those programs? Dunno if a defrag would help..

tired that didnt work. i ended up swapping sata cables and switching what controller the raid drives were on and it seems to have fixed the problem. i think it was just a bad sata cable

turned out is was just a bad sata cable who new even new cables could be bad

Well, new ones are probably more likely to be bad than old ones. It's fairly hard for a SATA cable to just 'go bad' in use, but they can quite easily be bad straight from the factory.
