Default Old Dell keeps looping/restarting HELP!!!!!!

I am trying fix my aunts old dell optiplex gx1 P3...yeah this crap is old. It just says XP is loading and when i get to the screen to choose start normally or start in safe mode - whichever I choose, start normally or safe mode and last know configuration, it just keeps looping back. Oh and when I start normally, I will get a BSOD and loops again. Safe mode i dont get a blue screen but it loops back again. I already replaced the power supply and it didnt help. If I could at least get in on safe mode I will reinstall XP. Help!!!!!!

do you have any of the stop errors from the bsod?

I would reseat and test the ram with memtest to start.

No i dont, I did not see an option in the bios to stop rebooting. So I cant see the error message on the blue screen. BTW, I also tried to have the disk to boot first and put the xp install disk in - same thing, it just loops or restarts by itself.

Try to disable the hard drive in bios. Then set the CD rom to boot first. Then after the install is done and the computer restarts go back into BIOS and reenable the hard drive and select to boot.
