OK so i was browsing the net and a friend told me a site which he always uses to buy parts for his PC. As i need a new PSU i tought id check it out. Is this PSU i found any good for the following system specs:

https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?nov-psu600&P=0

ATI Radeon 9600XT 256mb
2GB Ram
P4 3.0GHz HT
Windows XP
57 GB HDD
8 USB ports
Lan Port
ect..

i only want a power supply to give me more power and to be safe. i am not bothered about performance or noise realy.

to be honest i really wouldnt reccommend that power supply, If you need a new one Id recommend getting something of a higher quality such as Forton, Enermax, Antec etc

NO, never skimp on a PSU, you'll only regret it later when it blows and takes half of your computer with it. Like Chris_PC says stick with named brand like Antec or Thermaltake and you won't go wrong. There is nothing wrong with Novatech, they're a good company but buying a PSU is important. I have the Antec 430w truepower 2.0 and I payed about £50 inc VAT and P&P, link below. btw I run what's in my sig off that so a 430w one should be fine for you. Also wattage isn't as important as ampage and with a cheap one the ampage is crap but with a branded one you get what you pay for, i.e 12v on the 12v rail etc.
