Hi,

I have a problem with this mouse where after I plugged in the USB (the mouse functions fine) the computer does not go into idle mode. For example, the screen doesn't turn off after a certain period of time; screen saver does not activate; my MSN does not go into IDLE mode. After I unplug the USB everything will work fine again. How do I fix this problem so that idle works with the plugged in mouse?

I have windows vista. HP Note book pavilion dv2000.

There might not be much you can do. The only reason I say this is because I have had the same exact issue on a customer's laptop. The reason it wasn't going into powersave, or any idle mode, is because the USB adapter for the mouse would always be sending activity to the computer. There are different types of firmware to help this problem, however I have had much less luck with machines running vista versus XP.

Also, I've had the same problem with lots of linux machines.
