I have been using notebook hardware control with the CPU heat monitor thing. I recently got this problem where when i was playing games and the PC got hot it would start to become really choppy and start to lag for about 15 minutes then fix itself.

On the CPU heat thing it says ACPI readings and inside it says:

Actual Temp: (my current temp)
Critical Temperature: Says in the documentation:
If the temperature reaches this value, the OS will adjust the processor speed to reduce heat generation.
Passive Cooling temperature:

The value of critical is 100degrees Celcius

Well i think that during gaming the heat might reach this and it might throttle the stuff down but even with the program closed it still happends sometimes. Is there a way to make this value higher?
