Ok, so I'm still trying to troubleshoot my rig.

Here's the original issue, the thing won't POST or anything, I thought it was the possibly the board to start with. Today, I wanted to keep trying (and I reseted the CMOS at least 20x times), but another issue arose, sometimes when booting the computer, all the fans (including the PSU fan work) then immediately stop.

Is that a PSU problem? If so, does that mean the board isn't to blame, and I need to replace the PSU, or is it possible that both are screwed, and I need to immediately replace both.. any help is appreciated!

It does sound like your PSU fried with that power surge. I'm just hoping it didn't take your motherboard for a ride with it. Cross your fingers.

Best way to test it really quick is if you have an internal speaker, gank the RAM out, and turn it on. See if it beeps at you. Generally, if it doesn't, there's something wrong with the mobo.

Not a definitive test, but it works.
