no sound from omputer after gaming..

hi, yesterday i was playing gunbound..(yea i still play..anywho) when i quit gunbound, i have no sound all of a sudden. i thought i blew my speakers up, but that was not the case, cause the speakers work perfectly fine with the CD player, i try plugging another set of speakers in, still no sound.

i dont have a sound card or anything, so i'm guessing i busted my motherboard's onboard sound card?

if i did, can i just buy a cheap sound card and use that for sound? or i ahve to repair my MB?

please help.

Try a simple restart first..
If no go then.
Control Panel>Administratice Tools>Computer managment> Device Manager>
Locate your onboard sound icon, right click and disable. Wait a few seconds then enable it.

See if that works. If it doesn't goto manufacturers website for your motherboard, locate sound drivers for the specific model and try reinstalling..

usually gamers use: W S D A
as movement keys and tend to press the Start button which causes the sound to usually stop working. This happens to me when i play Swat 4 with couple of my buddies
