No sound from Asus P5VDC-MX?

Running windows xp on another computer, a little project of mine, and i CANNOT get the sound to work!
I have installed all the drivers for the MB from the asus website, reset the bios, everything! No sound.
Help is appreciated.

Is it showing you have a sound device in Device Manager? Also in Sound, does it detect your device?

It has all the standard windows drivers showing, and the realteak 97 something comes up, but no sound is heard through my speakers.
