No Audio Out From T.V.

I am currently using a Sharp AQUOS LC62C42U LC-62C42U 42 inch 1080p TV as my monitor for my CPU. For some odd reason I'm unsure of why no audio is coming out from my t.v. Yes, I have the ports for audio and I've tried it recently on my old t.v. Anyone know why? I've read that the issue could be that some t.v.s aren't compatible

If the tv only accepts audio input from a digital I/O like optical and you patched the analog output it won't work. But look over the setup menu or the manual that comes with the tv itself to see what options you have to external input on that model. You may only have to go into the setup menu displayed on the tv and make a setting change there.
