hi all
this is my first post ,so please be gentle.
my problem is that i cannot get my computer to see my sata drive,if i dont plug the drive in then i dont get the yellow icon on the sata /raid controller in device manager.but if i plug the drive in i DO get the yellow icon ( ! ),and when i click it i get the message, THIS DEVICE CANNOT START ( CODE 10 ) i know the drive is good as i formatted it on my daughters machine and it works perfectly.
i have enabled SATA in the bios and have installed drivers for mobo and sata devices.
the drive is a western digital 160 gig.
i have a jetway 939 turbo-g mobo.
3 gig mem .
nvidia 76000 pci express graphics card.
running windows xp pro with service pack 3.
any help at all would be great
regards to all
thanks

If u have RAID enabled in bios (under ide/raid)
change the option to IDE
if u have done this already and still no joy
sorry i can't help, hopefully someone else can

are you sure you have the power cable to the drive in properly, sata cable as well. your drive could be bad, did you just buy it?
