Take out the Wifi card and plug it into the PCI slot. They are backwards compatible I have read. Tell us if everything works out ok.

pci/e and pci cards are not compatible, I don't think it'll fit in the pci slot
You can try to get a pci wireless card and use that, go with a wireless usb device ( that'll suck) or another mother board with more pci/e x 1 slots

Yup you're boned. That wifi card won't go in the PCI slot. Your only options are mentioned above.

would this work for him? if he bought this and got rid of his old wireless card? Rosewill RNX-G300LX Wireless Adapter Card IEEE 802.11b/g PCI Up to 54Mbps Data Rates 64/128bit WEP WPA WPA2 802.1x, 802.11i, AES, TKIP with 2 dBi Antenna - Newegg.com

Yes, but that's a Wireless G card and he'd be better off with a USB dongle instead.

3 bucks more for Wireless N 150.
TP-LINK TL-WN751ND Wireless N Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n 32bit PCI Up to 150Mbps Wireless Data Rates WPA2 - Newegg.com

12 bucks more for Wireless N 300 and dual pole.

Whats up with G cards? Don't know much about wireless cards at all, I figured they were all almost the same.

Wireless is half duplex. Wireless G is 54Mb so you're limited to 27Mb up and down. If this person has internet any higher than 20Mb they won't get their full bandwidth.
