I just got a ATI Sapphire x850xt.

Is 80c to hot while its on stock settings?

those readings may not be 100% accurate. The little temperature sensor is very sensitive and it's correct on the dime.

You may wanna get an aftermarket cooler

Anything over 90*C is when to start worrying. I would definitely look into a good cooler.
