Hi guys,

I will get straight to the point.
I have recently been given a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge, it came as *Broke* but there is not really much wrong with it, I hope!

It was being run on Ubuntu however the owner switched to Windows 7 and I think had to delete some of the stuff on the hard drive, and may have cleared some drivers off, I don't know I'm not that good with computers.

The problem is that the wireless does not work. Not just that, but it doesn't even show up as though the laptop has wireless. The only connection it will work on is if I bung an ethernet cable into the port and put that into my router. Even then it doesn't work.

It says that there there are drivers missing from "Network controller" and "Unknown device" when I try to update them, expecting a wizard to pop up, nothing. It just asks me to browse the location of the driver, which I don't have.

I was wondering whether this has any effect on the wireless problem, I assume it has.
If so/not, how can I fix this? Or would a local computer shop be my only option?

Thanks very much guys!

Regards,

Josh.

P.S. Photos will be up shortly.
