well i just want to dl a copy of xp pro now to find out for sure if its the problem.
If it works...ill buy one, its not that expensive, i think you get a discount if your a student .

Well if only i had told you guys this before...especially after checking boot.ini.
In system info it shows xp med editoin 2002.

Well im going to find out ina couple hours.

IT WORKED .GUYS after installing xp, it showed two cores right away.
I CANT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH.

ALL THIS PAIN....hah.
well my sound isn't working though. I installed the drivers and no sound.
Do i have to flash the bios again?

Are you trying to use the onboard sound?

No, you don't need to flash the BIOS again. It's the drivers you'll need to change.

XP Home does support dual-core processors, just not dual processors. I believe you'll have to get XP Pro for that.
