New Motherboard compatability

I have an HP a 220n computer. Best Buy ran diagnostics and told me I had a bad motherboard. Does any motherboard work with any computer, or do I need to find one that is compatible with my HP??? The one I am looking at is

Asus Intel® P965 Motherboard 533MHz (Socket 775)

will that work with my computer?

It's not going to work. The motherbord has to be compatible with the other parts in your computer.

If you find out what kind of processor and ram and video card you have just get a motherboard that will work those items and the rest will work out.
