I just got all the parts for my new system but I have a quick question on the power connections to the motherboard.
I have an Intel Q9550 and an Asus P5Q Motherboard
Newegg.com - ASUS P5Q LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
It has the standard 24-Pin connection and then it has a 8-Pin CPU connection but half of it is capped off so only 4 pins are accessible. My question is whether or not I need to remove the cap and add another 4-Pin connection? The manual doesn't really talk much about it.
You can see more about what I am talking about in the motherboard pictures on Newegg.
