new motherboard

i recently fitted this motherboard into my pc crosshair republic of gamers Asustek AM2 nForce 590SLI ATX Audio Dual VGA Lan i have 4 gig ddr3 ram 2 nvidia 8800 gts 640 ddr amd quad core phenom 9850 cpu coolermaster realpower m700 psu western digital velociraptor 10000 rpm 300 gig hdd 500 gig hdd 160 gig hdd my first board of this kind crashed and burned for reason unknown im on my second board does anyone know or has anyone heard of significant problems with this type of board

Hello,

Did you make sure the board was grounded properly? Did you make sure you were discharged yourself of all static electricity when you worked on the PC? Did you make sure the cpu and heat sink were mounted correctly?
