I just built a new PC with a ASUS P5K Deluxe Mobo, Quad core CPU and 2gb of RAM. My 2 HD's are utilizing the only IDE interface on the mobo so I had to get SATA adapters to be able use my 2 existing IDE optical drives with the SATA interfaces on the mobo. The problem is this: I'm trying to load the OS using the bootable CD but the drive doesn't turn on to load the OS. It has to be an interface problem between the SATA cable and the drives. There are no jumpers to configure and setup has been changed to boot to the CD ROM 1st. The drives are not being seen by the mobo. I want to boot the system up and get back to work. Any suggestions?
