Default new mobo and cpu upgrade

so i just finished installing my phenom 955 and my asus M5A97 mobo into my build, power the bad boy up and its running, get into bios and everything is good, i try to load up from my harddrive and i see the loading screen and then the screen goes blue and says invalid format. so i put in my windows 7 cd to install a fresh version of windows 7 and i get this "Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk has a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks. i try to format the disk and i get error 0x8002422d. need some help!

Use GParted to format it, before you install Windows. Guide here by KSoD:
