New Gigabyte mobo won't post

Hi, I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 (rev 1) motherboard, and I have a PCI Club 3D Radeon 9250(passively cooled) 128mb graphics card.

The problem I'm having is it won't post, I have tried a similar but different 9250 (made by sapphire) again PCI and still no post screen.

I have also tried pci express cards, and older (but different chipset) pci graphics cards and they work fine.

I get no beeps or screen activation.

I've updated to the latest BIOS release from Gigabyte and no change, and the main reason for wanting this card to work is that I use Debian Linux and have found this card(on other machines) to be the best for 3d acceleration on this platform.

I have tried all different configurations (that I can think of) in the BIOS to get this to work and still nothing

I know the card itself works as it's fine in another machine.

Please help!!!!

yeah the system powers up and the hdd seems to spin up but there's no monitor output and no beeps.
