New computer build help!

Here's what I have.....

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R MOBO
Intel Core 2 Quad q6600
4GB ocz PLATINUM 4GB DDR2 SDRAM PC2 8500
EVGA 9600 GSO
THERMALTAKE PUREPOWER 600W PSU

I have everything hooked up. When i go to turn on the system it turns on. no noise except for the cool hum of the fans. vid card fan runs, cpu fan doesn't and there's nothing displayed on the monitor. it says no signal from the computer. what can i have done wrong? anyone know?

The CPU fan does not start? are you sure you have the motherboard plugged in and the CPU fan power connected?

yes...when the computer turns on all the case fans come on and the fan for the vid card comes on. the cpu fan spins right when the computer powers on then stops after a second and then it spins for a second when it gets shut down. and there's no signal to the monitor.
