Is the power supply giving you enough juice?
i ask because the GTX 670 (at least the EVGA ones) require a minimum of a 500 watt power supply.
The I-5 is (according to intel) set at a max of 77 watts.
so maybe the rest of your peripherals are taking up the rest of the wattage...? it does really depend on the type of load you are putting on your system as well, because well.. say 60 to 70% load on cpu and graphics, that would definitely take the rest of the wattage, so i would think at least.
what are the complete system specs?
Edit: i would also repeat what MMike said about trying windows 7. Reason being i've had some interesting things happen when playing with windows 8 on a few different computers.
