Default Network Card Problem

I have a Dell Latitude D600 and mostly use the internal wireless for my internet connection. However, I recently tried to plug it in via the ethernet port, and Windows said my connection was low or unstable (wording). Anyone have an idea on what the problem is? I am going through a D-Link wireless router.

Thanks.

Do you have cable or DSL? Was the wording limited or no connectivity? Have you tryed to refresh your connection? Start, control panel, network and internet connection's, right click your local area connection and select repair. Try unplugging the router and cable modem. Is there any wired PC hooked to the router? If so how does it work?

Did you try refreshing your connection and restarting the router? If that doesn't work try hooking the laptop directly to the modem, and if possable try another cable.
