Network adaptor problem

Whenever I download a mmo I tend to go for the torrrent option, however my network icon comes up with a yellow exclamation mark sometimes and I have to troubleshoot it to get my net back, the problem is: default gateway is not found - fixed

and I am online again this can happen many times during download, and only seems to happen on a torrent download, and I get better download rates via torrents, which is why I use them.

Might be a conflict with your pc's/router's firewall. Try opening ports recommended by bittorrent.

Ports are already forwarded for all clients and games.

How do I do that?

Go to Start > Run. Type "cmd" and press enter
Type "ipconfig/all" and press enter.
Copy down your IP address, DNS Server, and Default Gateway (all looks like 192.168.1.254)
Go to your Network Adapters page, right click on the 'Local Area Network' and hit 'Properties'
There's a line that says "IPv4 TCP/IP Internet Connection" (or something close to that). Select that and click 'Properties'.
Hit the 'configure this connection manually' button at the top, then key in the values you copied down earlier. Subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0
Hit ok on all the windows, and try connecting!
