Default Needs dvd dl question

Every time I try to burn a dvd it says to insert a dvd dl. I've tried dvd-r and dvd+r. I have a built in dvd burner that came with my computer that I just recieved a few weeks ago. Do I need to buy dvd-dl?

What program are you using to burn the DVD?

Most likely you have it set for dual-layer. Do some exploring and see if you can find where to change it.

Agreed^^

You might also be trying to burn something that is more than 4.7GB. Single Layer DVD=4.7GB. Dual Layer=8.5GB.
