need help quick

I just got my computer parts in.. and i was about to put my cpu cooler on.. and the retention bracket won't even fit my motherboard holes... so i said ill just use the push pins.. the Pushpins won't match up with my MB holes either! what do i do...





I have the Xigmatek 1283 cooler... and the retention bracket... and
GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

The push pins and retention bracket are for the socket 775 boards only.


You will have to use the other for am2 boards,There are 2 notches on either side of the cpu bracket where you snap the clip on.
