Default Need help for fixing a USB drive

I got a 32GB data traveller USB drive.
I plugged it in for the first time . Windows asked if I wanted to format it. I started formatting it but the PC hangs . Anyways after sometime explorer starts again and the USB drive is still visible . I start formatting it under NTFS format rather FAT32. This time the PC hangs again.
But now the USB drive is not visible once I plug it. Windows shows that there is a hardware connected to the computer but the drive doesnt show on my computer
How do i fix it ?

Is it visible in Disk Management?

Start > right click Computer > Manage... > click 'Disk Management' on the panel on the left-side.
