Default need help with bios

ok my os is win xp pro sp3. and i have a amd xp 2000+ 1.7ghZ. i have a geforce 6200 256 mb agp 8X. and i cant change the agp speed in bios. i have awardbios phenix. and i go to the menu and i go to advanced chipset config and i go to the agp settings and all i see is agp apture size and the defult was 64mb and i set it to 256mb. please give me any advice my agp speed now is 2x but the max is 4x and i cant change it. please

Might have to flash the bios with a new version. Check AwardBios's website for new editions of the bios.

Can you tell us what version of the bios you have currently?

Go to biosstar's website and download the latest bios version. You'll have to follow the prompts with entering your motherboard information.

At that point you'll have to flash your BIOS and update it.
