need help

i just got a Geforce fx 5500 256 video card and i set it up to work on the tv but all i get on the tv is a picture of my desktop wallpaper i need to know how to get the rest of my desktop to appear on the tv screen can anyone help please.

Do you mean your monitor or do you mean that you've hooked up your TV to your PC as a display device?

If you've got your desktop wallpaper on your TV then the signal is getting through. Are there any options in the graphics card menu? Right click on the desktop, properties, settings, advanced, geforce tab. Have a look in there but apart from that I'm unsure. But don't give up hope there are some very tech minded individuals on this forum. lol

thanks i figured it out i moved my mouse to the right and it showed up on my tv lol.
