ok. built a pc to play with "limits".
played with every possible setting(oc, uc, ov, dual boot, os changes, any experiment i could think of)
after removing the GRUB, and reinstalling vista(w/only 2G ram installed) system wont start.
1 beep, then no screen. no mobo/bios entrance screen. just blackness after the beep. did i bust my moboCPU?
my guess is yes. but i'll feel better throwin out more cash if someone else agrees.
