Last night my rig came up with a BSoD something about a kernal error. I did not take note of what the actual error was because I was in a hurry, I simply shut it down. This morning when trying to boot it this message came up:
BOOTMMGR is missing
Press ctrl+alt+del to restart
The machine will not boot. What do I do now?

Usually, it may be due to a failing hard drive. Do you have anything else you can boot from? Live Linux CD?

If you have any info on the drive that you want, put it in another computer and get it off first. You can also check the health status in something like disk management when your getting the files.

Boot manager, in the most basic way of looking at it, is what takes your computer from post to booting windows OS.
