My RAM issue

My pc was crashing programs and getting BSOD until I took a RAM stick out. I had 2 DDR3 1600 4G 256X8 RAM sticks in. My motehrboard is GA 970A-UD3.
Could someone tell me if they are compatable? I bought it custom built.

Under System it says I have 4GB of RAM installed. Is that with both sticks or just the one in there now?

We have no idea. You have to physically look at your RAM sticker. It will tell you all the information you need. We also do not know if they are different types (speeds).

i have this kind of issue before, either one of the Ram is crashing resulting to BSOD. some of troubleshooting i did is removing one ram vice versa and testing if its functioning properly. as far as i can see here only one Ram is being read by the computer.

well i admit that this idea is much more approachable than my idea.

After trying each ram stick induvidually I concluded that one of the ram sticks was faulty.
