TO be honest, it sounds like ur PSU is dead.. If I am right in assuming the "spark" you are hearing when u plug it in. even with a dead PSU the electricity jumps to the pins on the PSU, so swap test ur PSU and see how you get on. Also disconnect all non-essential internal & external peripherals to reduce power requirements.

It could also be ur mobo, but better to try the PSU 1st.
 
Just another angle to look at. Take out the processor and double check (triple check) that you don't have any bent pins. Sometimes there's just one of them that's bent over at a 90 degree angle and that's enough to make it stop working. It's really easy to bend them and if that's the case, sometimes you will get the exact issue that you're describing.

I figure that you've got the power supply and connectors all buckled up by now with everyone telling you, so I thought if it's not working by now, time to expand the search beyond the obvious.
