glad to help. please post back and let me know if that is the correct file.

also if you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask. :)

Networkgeek, your suggestion was really the one. My windows installation has in the end recognized my s-ata disks using the floppy you suggested. Thank you. And the motherboard, CPU and memory were supposed to be broken ...

Now there is only something to end up happily: I have two s-atas, one with 160GB and the other one with 320GB. For the windows installation, I have created a partition of 80GB in the 320GB HD (in the windows installation itself), and after a formatting, it has installed windows in this partition.

Now that I am in windows xp professional, I have this partition, but the rest of the 240GB are not there, nor the 160GB hard drive. Well, they are somewhere, because if I go to My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Disk drives, I can see both drives (funnily, windows says they are SCSI drives). But I cannot see these drives in My Computer (well, yes, I can see the 80GB partition I have created in the installation).

How can activate the remaining HDs?

Thank you very much for your help.
