on my keyboard and need my mouse!

i am only on my key board right now and i can't get my usb mouse to work.. it's a usb dell optical mouse on my gateway 98se and i set the legacy on enabled in my bios and it still doesn't work.. how do i get my mouse to work cause it is really hard to work without a mouse

have you checked to make sure the mouse works?

You may need to install the mouse drivers since its windows 98. You can go into the control panel and use the install new hardware wizard - windows update should pick the usb mouse drivers from the internet.
