Default My graphics card became lazy

Hi there, I'm new to these forums so sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section...
Well basically i woke up this morning to find that my pc is running games slow, really slow.
Up until last night i could run just about anything on high settings and most games would run very decently. I shut down my pc last night normally and went to bed. This morning i woke up and I instantly noticed it working a lot slower. My games have become nearly unplayable.
One thing I noticed is that my computer fans used to spin a lot faster when playing a game for example (as you would expect since your pc is 'working harder'), but now they seem to keep spinning at the same speed. It's as though my pc got lazy and refuses to do its job. I used CPUID to monitor my graphics card temperature and fan speed whilst playing a game and its max temp after around 30 mins of (slow) gameplay was 68 degrees... Before all this happened my max temperature would be around 80. Also My fan speed on idle is at 40% and whilst playing a game it remains at 40% (can't remember how much it used to increase to in the past). I think most people would agree your fan would speed up when your computer is processing something graphically intensive (like skyrim in my case).
This whole episode had happened to me another time in the past - around 4 months ago. My computer started working really slow suddenly, then after around 2 days it just suddenly worked normal again. Hasn't given me any problems since then really.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Could be the PSU not giving enough power to the devices, therefore, the components become sluggish. What are your system specs? Also what is your PSU wattage and model?

PSU was my first thought also, what you describe does seem to indicate that it is actually running below capacity so the likely cause for that is a lack of power.

Agreed x3, sounds like the PSU just can't power your PC properly, and in return your processor and GPU can't operate at peak power. Might wanna look into replacing the PSU.

Open your case and look. It's most likely a low-grade one.

With your current system specs I would look into a 500watt or 600watt psu.
Newegg.com - Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Honestly I don't think you'll need over 700watts of power not unless you plan on SLI and doing alot of other computer usage out of it.

according to CPUID my graphics card is getting 1.05V of VIN0 Voltage...
I dunno if this means anything but maybe somebody understands :P
I read that if your graphics card isnt getting enough power the game would likely crash or u get a blue screen.. i get none of this
