my computer problems

motherboard

2gb corsair value select memory

300gb maxtor hard drive

xfx geforce 6800 xtreme 256mb

amd athlon 64 3500+

and the problem is that when i push the power button the computer beeps 1 time and then another but a really long beep and then when i push the memory and turn it on again it is fine then till i turn it off.

my other computer has the same stuff except:

Kingston 2gb of ram

and the windows xp loading bar goes by 30 times and should only go by like 4 times.

I think your memory might be worn down or the slot may be cracked. Either way it's not making %100 contact. See if you can borrow someone else's ram and then try it.

but the ram is brand new.

and both computers are brand new.

Factory faulty =/ RMA the board back. Sounds like it is cracked as reggie said. its not getting full contact.
