HEY! You might know me from my thread: "BUILDING MY FIRST GAMING PC".
Now, I won't be buying that PC for a couple weeks and until then I would like to continue gaming. However, I have a problem. My current PC is, as of a month or 2 ago, complete trash. I was torrenting something and it got infected with a virus. My friend did a cleaning on it and it got rid of the virus temporarily but it has come back. Long story short, my computer is SLOWER than ****! It can't run the lamest of games.
Here is my question...
---My girlfriend borrowed me her student Microsoft software with the product key and everything. Can I use this to "reformat" my computer? And if I do this, will it somewhat wipe out the virus and bring my computer back up to speed? Is there any other software I might need except for the internet (I think we have those)?
