Mouse problems?

My mouse has been acting weird lately it will sometimes for no reason at all not work even though it shows up in device manager as installed. Sometimes it will make the unplugged do do sound and then do it again as if it got unplugged then plugged back in. Is it the mouse? or is it the motherboard?

Im guessing its USB, have you tried different USB ports? Or you can get yourself an adapter that switches USB to PS/2: http://www.cyberresearch.com/images/products/1134086637.600.jpg

yeah i tried them all
i just had that connector the other day i don't know where it went >< ill have to look around for it

my wireless is actually in one usb but no disconnects there :/

you think this is a cause of my psu going bad? i also have very slow startup times.

Is it a wired mouse?

If so, one or several of the wires in the cable could be frayed / damaged, causing the mouse to constantly disconnect and connect.

Have you tried using another mouse?

well you can try testing a different USB mouse to that port to see if its your mouse that is defective or your computer hardware

It's highly probable the connection is just not good. Either because of a broken/frayed/cut cable, or because there's too much dirt on the connector.
