Motherboard Issues

So i was working on a computer that we purchased and installed a new mother board for. Having troubles getting it to boot I tried about everything then i started looking at the model. I just want to get some input to see if I'm correct but the original model was the same as the new mobo model EXCEPT the old is REV:1.0 and the new is REV:1.0A . So, after seeing that i was pretty sure it was the wrong motherboard. Should i assume that I'm right? Please correct me if I'm not.

**Sorry I dont have exact model of the MOBO kinda forgot and cant get to it till monday.

What troubles exactly are you having? If you're getting errors of some kind, please post them.

And yeah, we'll probably need to know the mobo model number. And preferably the other specs of the machine too.
